The Band of Builders team providing support

When life feels heavy, we are here.

Life in construction can be demanding. Long hours, physical strain, financial pressure and responsibility can all take their toll. When things start to feel overwhelming, Band of Builders is here to support you.

Our wellbeing support offers a safe, confidential space where construction workers and their families can talk, be heard and access practical help. You are not expected to deal with it alone.

Providing wellbeing support

Who is wellbeing support for?

Band of Builders provides free, confidential wellbeing support for construction workers and their families when life feels overwhelming. We understand the pressures that come with working in construction and how challenges can build up over time.

Whether you are facing mental health challenges, relationship pressures, financial strain or simply feeling stressed and worn down, our support is here to help you feel heard, supported and less alone.

Our wellbeing services are designed for people experiencing:

  • Stress, anxiety or low mood
  • Work related pressure and burnout
  • Relationship or family difficulties
  • Financial worries
  • Grief, loss or major life changes
  • Addiction or unhealthy coping habits

These challenges do not just affect individuals, they affect families too, which is why our support is also open to loved ones.

Counselling

You can access confidential counselling and associated wellbeing support services, including help with emotional wellbeing, relationships, stress, anxiety, life pressures and difficult situations.

Support can also include guidance around legal information, financial information, consumer issues, career guidance, mediation, health concerns, family matters and other practical stresses that may be affecting your wellbeing.

These services form part of our wider wellbeing support offer, helping you get the right guidance at the right time from trained professionals who understand the pressures faced by construction workers and their families.

Wellbeing

You can access practical help and advice to improve your overall wellbeing, including sleep, stress management, energy levels, general health and building healthier habits.

This part of our wellbeing support programme focuses on building resilience and giving you practical tools to manage day to day pressures, improve your confidence and take back control of your wellbeing.
