FINANCIAL support

When illness, injury or unexpected crisis hits, the financial pressure can feel overwhelming. Band of Builders provides emergency grants to help construction workers and their families stay on their feet and ease the stress during some of life’s toughest moments.

Who Is Financial Support For?

Band of Builders can provide grants to support construction workers and their families who are experiencing financial difficulty. Our focus on financial support ensures that help reaches those most in need, whether it’s covering essential bills, home repairs or emergency living costs.

We consider applications from people in need of financial support who work, or have worked, within the construction industry, such as merchants and manufacturers allied to the construction sector. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applications from people who cannot show a direct occupational link to the construction industry.

Examples of financial support we’ve provided include:

  • Covering rent arrears for a construction worker who had to flee their home due to domestic abuse.
  • Funding for a family to replace a damaged and dangerous roof.
  • Grants to cover rent arrears for construction workers unable to work due to COVID-19.

Financial Support

Band of Builders aims to provide financial support for construction workers and their families facing crises or emergencies that are out of their control. Our grants are designed to make a real difference, helping families remain safe and supported during difficult times.

To be considered for support, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • The applicant has worked in a construction-related role or role associated with the construction industry for more than 12 months.

If you are unsure whether you are eligible for financial support, please contact us by emailing applications@bandofbuilders.org.
