FINANCIAL support

When illness, injury or unexpected crisis hits, the financial pressure can feel overwhelming. Band of Builders provides emergency grants to help construction workers and their families stay on their feet and ease the stress during some of life’s toughest moments.

Who Is Financial Support For?

Band of Builders provides financial grants to support construction workers and their families across the UK who are experiencing financial hardship.

Our financial support is designed to help when someone in construction is facing serious financial pressure due to illness, injury, mental health challenges or unexpected life events. The aim is to relieve immediate pressure and help individuals and families regain stability.

We consider applications from people who work, or have worked, within the construction industry, including those employed by contractors, merchants, manufacturers and other businesses connected to the sector.

Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applications from people who cannot demonstrate a direct occupational link to the construction industry.

Financial support is typically provided to help with essential living costs during periods of crisis or hardship.

The types of support we commonly provide include:

• Food vouchers to help families through periods of immediate financial difficulty
• Support with rent arrears to help prevent eviction or housing instability
• Help with essential utility bills, including gas, electricity and water
• White goods, such as fridges, cookers or washing machines when these are essential for day to day living
• Travel costs, for example attending medical appointments, treatment or returning to work

Our focus is always on providing practical help that makes an immediate difference, supporting construction workers and their families when they need it most.
